We are looking for an Analyst designer Mainframe
Role : Mainframe Application Engineer.
Key objectives of this role:
- Software development
- Managing change requests, corrections and enhancements (occasionally)
- Gather user requirements,
- Take care of the analysis (functional and technical)
As an Analyst, your main responsibilities will be to:
• Translate the customer needs to documented requirements
• Define the requirements strategy and organisation
• Design and configures the Requirements Repository and the Traceability matrix according to the strategy
• Identify and analyse change request, corrections, enhancements
• Guarantee consistency of documented requirements with project plans and technical work products in terms of identification, qualification, acceptance, commitment and traceability
• Ensure proper reporting on requirements activities to the application manager
As a Designer, your main responsibilities will be to:
• Assist the application specialists in the solution
• Validate the feasibility of the solution
• Design system components (e.g. databases, user interfaces) and interfaces between the components: defines responsibilities, operations, attributes and relationships of system components and
the interfaces between them
• Guarantee the implementation of the system components: reviews the software code and unit-test elements of the system components and interfaces: (proactive)
• Document the design (system components and interfaces)
• Maintain the documentation throughout the lifecycle
• Participate together with the project architect to the design of the system
• Provide input to feasibility studies
• Support the test teams in analyzing potential bugs
Technical skills required:
• Experience in the mainframe environment (back-end): Cobol, JCL, DB2, MQ
• Knowledge of Java and IMS are a strong plus
• Good business understanding of the Banking applications ie Investments, Payments and Credits
Fluency in Dutch and English
