I'm looking for a Confirmed Oracle DBA with at least 4 years of experience
You’ll be responsible for all Oracle development and database.
Your main tasks will be:
- Improving and take part in the design the current and future infrastructure for our database.
- Help java developer in their database related work by providing support, advice and best practice to enhance the reliability and performances of their queries.
- Optimization of database (usage and infrastructure level)
- Planning and organizing training and coaching on Oracle, in order to guarantee that Oracle best practices are correctly implemented by the development team.
- Assure migration from servers (we are currently in the process of migrating to a new HP-UX infrastructure).
Required technical skills:
- Excellent Knowledge of Oracle 10g , 9i
- Excellent knowledge of Database tuning (CBO, Kernel limits)
- Excellent knowledge of PL/SQL and SQL best practices
- Excellent Knowlege of partitionning.
- Good knowledge of distributed data architecture (DB-Link, Streams , …)
- Good knowledge of Oracle under Linux, HP-UX
- Good data architecture knowledge
- Good knowledge of Java/Oracle connectivity and behaviors (JDBC, Hibernate, …)
- Good knowledge of Oracle High availability mechanism
- Knowledge of Oracle Change Manager
